"french country heaven"

When was the last time you were pampered until you felt like royalty? How often do you sit in a hot Jacuzzi bath and stare at the flames of a fireplace reminiscing with the love of your life? And how often do you experience exquisite pleasure which can only be described as heaven? If your answer is “long ago,” then you need to leave everything behind and come to the French Country Inn in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.

The French Country Inn is a very intimate European inn with 33 suites, situated on Lake Como. Its tremendous charm is attributed to the enchanting design and all the beautiful details put into making this inn a very special one. The choice of suites includes the standard guest rooms, luxury rooms on the first floor, luxury rooms on the second floor with a loft, cottage room and the historic suite in the main building.

My greatest pleasure was staying at one of the luxurious loft suites with extra sitting space. It is a second floor suite with a loft designed for kings and queens with intricate details evident in each spacious room. As you walk inside the suite, you are struck with a view of a big comfortable bed, a burning fireplace, a cozy love seat in a corner, a flat screen TV and an amazing view of the lake visible through the French doors which open up to a large balcony. The suite also offers another big room with a pull-out sofa, refrigerator, coffee maker and complimentary bottled water. As if all this is not impressive enough, you go up a spiral staircase to your own private paradise complete with a bubbling Jacuzzi, fireplace and windows with the view of the lake. If you ever wondered what heaven was really like, being in this luxury certainly feels like heaven on earth. This suite has the most charming and intimate feel you can imagine and you cannot help but feel like you have traveled to France and are staying at the King’s palace.

What impressed me the most is the incredible attention to detail evident in the design, decoration and service at this uniquely charming inn. Every morning on weekends there is hot breakfast served at the adjacent Kirsch’s restaurant. On weekdays a huge breakfast basket arrives at your door which has everything you might possibly want in the morning, including juice, delicious pastries, milk, cereal, fruits, yogurt, and even plates and silverware. The staff works very hard to make you feel so welcome that you feel cared for and special throughout your entire stay.

French Country Inn is a little piece of heaven tucked away by the lake in a small town of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. A more charming retreat I cannot imagine. Anyone interested in pampering and luxury combined with an exceptional service will definitely want to stay here. There is no doubt that after one visit to the French Country Inn you will become entranced and never want to leave.
